Salary Sacrifice into the RBF Contributory Scheme

This tool demonstrates the impact on your fortnightly salary if you salary sacrifice or pay personal contributions into the RBF Contributory Scheme and / or RBF Investment Account. Paying salary sacrifice contributions and personal contributions into the RBF Contributory Scheme and / or RBF Investment Account are 3 options available to improve your super entitlement, however there may be other superannuation improvement options available to you. It is important to note that whilst salary sacrificing will usually minimise your immediate PAYG situation, it may result in less favourable taxation treatment in relation to your final superannuation benefit. This tool does not attempt to calculate or illustrate the impact of changes on your retirement benefits.

Members can make either salary sacrifice contributions or personal contributions to the RBF Contributory Scheme at any one particular point in time. That is a member who makes salary sacrifice contributions to the RBF Contributory Scheme cannot make any personal contributions to the RBF Contributory Scheme while salary sacrifice contributions are being paid.

Please note that both salary sacrifice contributions and personal contributions may be paid to the RBF Investment Account at the same time.

Your individual financial circumstances must be considered when examining the suitability of particular contribution strategies. To properly assess the impact of contribution strategies on your take home pay and future after tax retirement benefits we encourage you to seek professional financial planning advice. RBF Financial Planning Pty Ltd, ABN 17 094 816 412, AFSL No.239171, a Principal Member of the FPA is a company owned and operated by the RBF Board to provide RBF members with financial planning advice.
